Description

The Maintenance Co-Ordinator/Technician provides general assistance and general maintenance for grounds, facilities and/or supply plants. May provide functional guidance to assigned staff.

Responsibilities:

Performs a variety of complex electrical, mechanical and Natural Gas installations. Isolates identify and resolve technical problems and repair needs

Works from maintenance request, electrical drawings, specifications, or verbal/written instructions.

Estimates labor and equipment’s costs, prepares requisitions as required and maintains appropriate (maintenance, inventory and repair logs WIP)

Locates, investigates and diagnoses equipment failures, irregularities and malfunctions and ensures timely corrective actions. May recommend basic design changes and incorporate approved changes into existing equipment.

Develops and maintains contacts with local vendors.

Provides work instructions to others in maintenance or oversees projects

Perform any other essential duties as assigned. Implement and maintain safety programs (Hot work safety) Site to comply with the requirement.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience:

Two-year technical diploma/degree or equivalent.
Trade certification required (Millwright)
4-6 years of practical experiments in an Agricultural Plant
Wireman’s Licence
A valid Drivers Licence is a must

Knowledge and Skills:

Licensed skilled trades
Apply sound working knowledge of a professional area or advanced knowledge of specific technical/operational practices
Knowledge of a variety of related systems
Solid knowledge of company or unit practices and procedures
Ability to fulfill general employment expectations including regular attendance and working specified hours or overtime as defined by supervisor, acceptance of supervision, getting along with others in the workplace, maintaining acceptable standards of office conduct, etc. or overtime as defined by supervisor, acceptance of supervision, getting along with others in the workplace, maintaining acceptable standards of office conduct, etc.
Green Belt Certification a plus
Strong communication and coaching skills
