Here’s why Somizi wanted a tax lawyer from MaMkhize

Mzansi media personality, Somizi Mhlongo‘s furniture has been actioned by the South African Revenue Service (SARS). A local publication alleges that Somizi owes R3.5 million in taxes which date from 2014.
Which explains why Somizi asked his wealthy businesswoman friend Shauwn Mkhize for the best divorce and tax lawyer there is. Social media is currently a buzz with Somizi trending top of the list after news of his tax issues.
In last week’s episode of Living The Dream with Somizi, Somizi asked Shauwn to connect him with the best lawyers.
Speaking over the phone, Somizi told Shauwn that he is embroiled in a legal battle with his estranged husband Mohale and now the taxman. “I need you to connect me to the person… your tax lawyer. Because they’re after me now,” he told Shauwn. “Are they also after you? I will send it to you fast and furious,” said the businesswoman.
“They’re trying to be personal and I won’t entertain any of that. I want everything to be done lawfully,” Somizi added.
Not only is he battling SARS, but he is also embroiled in a divorce battle with ex Mohale Motaung. “I just got a letter from my ex’s lawyers. So, I also need a divorce lawyer. The person to speak to right now is Shauwn because I think she’s been through both situations and she’s used very good lawyers,” said Somizi.
Somizi exclaimed, “Imagine, he wants half!” then Shauwn also expressed anger and said, “He’s crazy, he’s out of his mind. Are we supposed to work hard and give people half?”
Now, the real reason why Somizi wanted Shauwn to recommend the best tax lawyers was because he allegedly owes R3.5 million.
It is alleged that Somizi’s furniture has been auctioned in order to help settle the debt. In a notice, the furniture items auctioned are listed as follows: “A Samsung washing machine, a white sculpture (Guman Head), Le Creuset bowl, three plastic bar chairs, two red human statues, a Hisense television set with a remote, a smeg dishwasher, two brass painted coffee tables, one Carrol Boyes knife set with stand, a Carrol Boyes bowl, five various Le Creuset pots, a Gold Air gas heater, a DeLonghi oil heater, a Samsung fridge, a silver kitchen bowl, three glass vases, eight cushions, a sleeper couch, a wooden TV stand with drawers, dining chairs and a table and knife set with stand.”
Social media is abuzz since the news came out and some targeted Mohale and made fun of him, like they always do.
So Somizi owe SARS 3.5 million and they sold his furniture? What will Mohale get now? pic.twitter.com/rji15vQCmY

If Somizi owes sars 3.5meter it means Mohale owes sars 1.75m when they divorce. Since he said they married pic.twitter.com/l9b6xnPric

Their problems also involve Legend Manqele from Bar Leader who produced their Showmax wedding special. It was revealed that he would not be a part of this season of LTDWS, but not because they suspect he leaked the audio, but it’s for royalties issues.
The Sunday tabloid also alleges that Mohale’s lawyers asked for the royalties, which is apparently R1.5 million to be paid to them, but SARS apparently said that money should be paid towards the R3.5 million debt owed by Somizi.
