Specification
PURPOSE OF THIS ROLE
The Supervisor Counsellor directs and oversees the work of the Lay, Adherence and Retention Counsellors toward the achievement of specific programme goals.

TECHNICAL WORK RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities will include and not be limited to the following
Supervise Lay, Adherence and Retention Counsellors
Draft and retain monthly schedules
Oversee that all staff have the necessary tools, equipment and material for effective productivity
Visit staff regularly at facilities and meet with all staff at least on a monthly basis
Liaise with facilities where the subordinates are based
Manage staff performance
Attend to complaints and take corrective actions
Collect, collate and consolidate reports on a weekly basis and submit narrative reports monthly
Collect and authorise timesheets
Oversee that regular in-service training is done
Keep staff informed of the development at Aurum
Report all activities and outcomes to the Area Manager

Requirements

YOU MUST HAVE

Qualification
Matric/Grade 12
HIV counselling and testing certificate

Advantageous
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Social/Health Sciences

Work Proven Experience
2 years’ experience in an HIV Counselling and Testing

Other Requirements
Basic knowledge or training in general or project management
RTQII knowledge
Basic computer skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Advantageous
Valid Driver’s Licence
Own Vehicle
