A vacancy has arisen in the stores for the above position.
Duties:
Outlined below is a summarized list of the duties in the position:
Ø Receiving goods, checking materials delivered against purchase orders, and completing relevant documentation
Ø Managing the perpetual stock system
Ø Overseeing daily cycle counts
Ø Overseeing the cost comparison reports – actual cost vs bill of material for Serco Industries
Ø Audit the bin card system daily and ensure the system is maintained
Ø Issuing of tools and updating the tool register (when Storeman is absent)
Ø Placing orders for consumables on a daily basis
Ø Expediting part and overdue orders
Ø Assisting in monthly stock takes
Ø Maintaining good housekeeping
Ø Generate part and overdue orders on a daily basis.
Ø Any other function relevant to the position
Experience/Competencies required:
Ø Matric or equivalent with 1-2 years experience working in a stores environment
Ø Computer literacy
Ø Teamwork
Ø Written and verbal communication skills
Ø Planning & organizing skills
Ø Numeracy skills
Ø Extensive knowledge of trailer parts will be an advantage
