Equal Education: Pupils with COVID-19 symptoms should stay home

The organization, Equal Education says pupils who have COVID-19 symptoms should stay at home.

It says this will help curb the spread of the virus.

In KwaZulu-Natal, over 8,00 pupils and teachers have been affected.

Meanwhile, the National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD) reported 7,983 new COVID-19 cases in South Africa in the last 24 hours.

A total of 299 more COVID-19-related deaths take the death toll to 77,440.

The Western Cape has recorded over 2,100 new cases.
