Judge Piet Koen dismisses former president Jacob Zuma’s special plea to have state prosecutor Billy Downer recused.
Zuma’s legal team claims Downer is biased.
The former president faces some 16 counts of fraud, corruption, racketeering, and money laundering in connection with the arms deal.
Judge Koen has ruled that the trial will start on 11 April 2022.
