City of Cape Town to set up 3 fan parks for Springboks supporters to watch Rugby World Cup final

Three fan parks will be activated across Cape Town for locals to gather to back the Bokke in the Rugby World Cup final on Saturday.

Bree Street in the CBD, Langa Sports Hall, and the Portlands Civic Centre in Mitchells Plain will turn green and gold.

Supporters will be able to enjoy a big screen, a food court, and a DJ at no cost.

Cape Town Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis: “It’s going to be great, great fun. We’ve got these big fan parks sorted out. I know that many people were asking for them.

“We would’ve loved of course to have had one massive one, but there is a big concert event at the stadium on Saturday. They will be screening the game at the concert too, so it will be a kind of a paid fan park and not a free one, but these three will be incredible fun and I really invite everyone down.”
