Judgment reserved in South African Airlines case

Judgment has been reserved in the Labour Court in the case brought by worker unions Numsa and the SA Cabin Crew Association against embattled South African Airlines.

The trade unions headed to court on Thursday to stop retrenchments at SAA. Business rescue practitioners recommended retrenching all staff, but unions say they are yet to see a rescue plan.

Government has also refused to give the airline any more funding.
