When we remember former AmaZulu soccer player David Mkandawire who went broke after his exit from the game to a point where he found himself begging on the streets for food and money. He was mostly found in Kempton Park.
Other Zimbabwean footballers like Tendai Ndoro would visit him and make sure he has something to eat but he would sometimes reject their help, probably because he felt like they were doing it to spite him.
The footballer later died in 2019 and was laid to rest in his native Zimbabwe.
