Slight relief predicted for motorists heading into November

There is some good news for consumers heading into the festive season as the Automobile Association is predicting a slight fuel price drop in the first week of November.

A decrease of between eight and 18 cents a litre is expected, depending on the grade.

The Automobile Association’s Layton Beard explained the drop is mostly due to a plateau of the global oil price.

In October, the price of 95 octane petrol increased by 18 cents a litre while the price of 93 octane dropped by 4 cents a litre.

Diesel and wholesale Illuminating paraffin increased by 25 cents a litre.
