Afrotainment dancer Slenda drops her first single

Multi-talented Afrotainment artist Sthabile “Slenda” Zungu has dropped her new single, Umshini Ozishintshayo.

“The song is not necessarily about a machine, but about myself. It’s about my strength and ability to adapt in every situation.Slenda1

“The song was released on 4 August and it’s receiving good reception.

“I’ve also recently released a music video for the song,” she said.

She said that the song was inspired by various projects that she is doing.

“As a mother who is venturing into business, I’ve learnt that nothing beats hard work.

“For example, one minute I have to be on stage and the next minute I have to take care of my son and on the other, side I have to focus on my two businesses that are relatively new,” said Slenda.

All of this requires mental and physical strength. It demands focus and determination hence the title of the song, Umshini Ozishintshayo. But I am grateful to have mastered the art of multi-tasking and being able to juggle work and being a mum,” she continued.

She told SunBuzz she’s preparing to launch her clothing line.

“Apart from music, I also sell clothes. It’s mainly jackets, T-shirts, shorts and caps. For now I don’t have shoes, but I am in the process of getting them for clients. I want to cater for all casual occasions. The clothes are mainly for people who are in the entertainment business, especially dancers,” she said.

Slenda said her clothing shop hasn’t been set up yet.

“But people can start placing orders and I’ll courier the clothes. My goal is to launch branches all over the country, but for now I’m starting in KZN,” she said.

She’ll also be launching her dancing school in January next year.

“The school is already operational. It is based at the BAT Centre in Durban.

“I’m inviting the youth to come and learn how to dance. Interested people must be between 18 and 24 years old. They must have passed matric,” she said.
