It’s the biggest and most high profile transfer in South African Rugby. Springbok captain Siya Kolisi has ended his 11-year-career with Western Province, joining the Sharks. The next chapter in the career of the Zwide-born flanker, will now be written at Kings Park.
There he will find fellow World Cup winners Lukhanyo Am and Makazole Mapimpi. eNCA’s Justin Ford sat down with Kolisi in Durban.
All of the coaches, management and teammates who had such a big influence on me over the last 11 years and especially the DHL Stormers Faithful and people of Cape Town and beyond who made my time with the union so special. It has been a privilege to experience their support,” he said.
The Stormers head coach John Dobson wished Kolisi well and thanked him for his significant contributions over the years.
