A s.e.x worker who claims to have almost fallen victim to serial killer Sifiso Mkhwanazi’s 2022 murder spree says he could not have acted alone.

Mkhwanazi, who confessed to killing six women believed to have been s.e.x workers, was found guilty in March and ordered to undergo psychiatric evaluation before he can be sentenced.

The 21-year-old convicted rapist and killer appeared before the Johannesburg Magistrates Court on Wednesday following the completion of his evaluation at the Sterkfontein Hospital.

Mkhwanazi appeared stoic on Wednesday, however, in the gallery none of his family members showed up.

Wednesday’s proceedings were met by another delay when the Johannesburg High Court sitting in Palm Ridge heard that the probation officer looking into Mkhwanazi had not completed her report.

After the matter was heard, a s.e.x worker who worked closely with some of the victims made damning allegations, claiming that it’s nearly impossible for the accused to have acted alone.

“Bodies were smelling, they were rotten… How can you work inside a factory and not smell anything?”

Mkhwanazi’s matter has been postponed to 7 August.
