Over 40 000 people expected to attend Shembe Pilgrimage

More than 40,000 people are expected at the three-day-long Shembe pilgrimage in Durban.

The annual ceremony will take members through three municipalities, eThekwini, iLembe, and Ndwedwe.

Municipal mayors say they have budgeted for basic services that will be put in place for congregants.

The eThekwini Municipality is spending nearly R6 million to ensure the safe passage of the congregants.
