Our client based in Cleveland is looking to employee at Sheeting Operator to start immediately. The successful candidate must have 2 years working as a Sheeting operator.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Check job cards for planned/priority orders before starting up machine.
Carry out a thorough check of the reels to be sheeted prior to loading it onto the machine
Ensure that the correct stock has been picked for sheeting purposes
Keep reel mill – input labels for reference purposes when unwrapping reels.
Setting up sizes of what to run and ensure machine runs square amd measure sample
Operate sheeting machine and constantly watch for paper jams on machine
Check quality and sizes continually throughout the day
Never leave machine unattended
Report to Supervisor when need to leave production site during working hours
Removing completed stock from machine
Report any issuesor breakdowns to supervisor immediately
Complete sheeting job register daily and hand in to supervisor
Follow roster on starting up and shutting down compressor daily
Carry out adhoc duties as assigned by management when needed
Adhere to Safe Work Procedures (SWP) when operating the machine
Adhere to all general Health and Safety rules, regulationsand procedures
Required Skills
paper : 2 to 3 years
Sheeting Operator : 2 to 3 years
Candidate Requirements
The successful candidate must have the following work experience requirements:
At least 2 years sheeting experience
Must be able to read, write and communicate in english
Must be able to work over time when required
Must be able to do physical labour when required
Must be able to operate any of the sheeting machines and procedures
Must have Matric
Must have a clean criminal record
This position reports to: Production Supervisor
