The City of Cape Town is spending hundreds of millions on sewer upgrades for the Cape Flats.
The R715m pipeline rehabilitation project is expected to benefit around 300,000 in lower-income neighbourhoods.
It’s expected to be completed by 2025.
Clogged drains and overflowing sewers are sometimes due to the city’s overstretched and ailing infrastructure.
