PICS: Senzo Meyiwa’s daughter turns 16

Late legendary South African goalie, Senzo Meyiwa’s lookalike daughter Nana is celebrating her milestone sweet 16 birthday.

The young girl whose mother was the soccer star’s wife, Mandisa Mkhize is Meyiwa’s second-born child.

Nana was six years old when her Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates goalkeeper dad was shot and killed in 2014.

In an Instagram post this week, Mandisa Mkhize revealed that her daughter with the late Senzo Meyiwa, had turned 16.

Sharing a pic of the bubbly teen, she posted: “Happy 16th birthday to my heart keeper. God, I can never thank you enough for this beautiful daughter of mine.

“Her laughter gives me so much joy; her happiness fills my heart with gratitude/ Her voice when she says ‘kodwa Ma’ and giggles.”

In the comments section, fans of the late Senzo were convinced that Nana is his lookalike.

Before Nana was born, Senzo Meyiwa fathered his first daughter, Namhla. The teen lives with Senzo’s mother, Ntombifuthi, who is also her legal guardian, in Umlazi, KwaZulu-Natal.

According to Diski365, the NGO Red Ants financially supports the young girl. She’s also received assistance from Senzo’s fellow Orlando Pirates colleague Brilliant Khuzwayo.

While Namla’s biological mother is unknown, Senzo’s widow, Mandisa Mkhize, has also adopted the young girl as her own.

Thingo is Senzo Meyiwa’s third daughter, whom he conceived with his girlfriend Kelly Khumalo. At the time of his death in 2014, Thingo was only seven months old.

Meanwhile, TimesLive reported that Senzo’s fourth child—a son—was introduced to his family several months after his death.
