Millar Cameron is an international recruitment consultancy with a focus on Africa. We are currently working with a prestigious international logistics group who are recruiting for a Senior Construction Manager to act as the lead client representative and to liaise between the Country Project Engineer, the consultants’ team and the contractors.
The Senior Construction Manager will have the following responsibilities:
• Coordinate with the Country Project Engineer, the Design Construction Teams, Suppliers, Authorities, Shareholders and Stakeholders to ensure that the Project land remains secure
• Oversee the management of day to day activities for each country, monitor submittal logs, analyse CPM schedule, review shop drawings to ensure adherence to time schedule and contract documents
• Review and approve all monthly progress payments
• Manage and support the Site Head and Sales team in leasing the facility
• Lead the Country Project Engineer during technical evaluations, client meetings and requirement capturing
• Support all new customer on-boarding to ensure fulfilment of all technical requirements
• Monitor Project Engineer work hours, priorities and assignments to ensure efficient operations
• Support the Facility Management team from a Facility Maintenance perspective
• Update and modify all maintenance scope work and sub contracts to ensure that all Facility Management scope in carried out in accordance with global standards
• Manage all country sustainable projects and energy saving initiatives

Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• Minimum 15 years of relevant building/warehouses construction projects
• Excellent communication skills (In English, French and another language are desirable)
• Experience in construction projects and facilities management in Africa
• Ability to handle multiple projects in different countries at the same time
