ABOUT THE ROLE / PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To conduct investigations of irregularities, criminal activities, security incidents and breaches at Business Unit level, within the Sasol Limited Holdings environment and report on the results of such investigations.

FUNCTIONAL OUTPUTS

Planning and execution of investigations;
Conduct thorough investigation by fact finding and evidence retrieval within allocated time frames;
Prioritising each investigation based on priority;
Drafting and/or reviewing of factual reports containing appropriate findings and recommendations and subsequent follow-up of recommendations made;
Testify in disciplinary hearings and in criminal trials;
Develop and maintain professional relationships with all stakeholders.
Conduct baseline investigations
Prepare investigation reports with findings and appropriate recommendations
Conduct investigations within the framework of the relevant legislation and standard Operating Procedures
Provide post investigative support to the business
Provide an advisory and consultative role

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications :

Formal Education

An appropriate NQF5 or (equivalent qualification);
A recognised Investigation Course / Detective Learning Programme
Grade 12 / NQF Level 4
Registration with PSIRA Grade B or relevant Law proven enforcement formal training
Supervisory course or equivalent qualification
Qualify to be registered with National Key Point Secretariat
Firearm competency for business purposes
Minimum Experience

Experience in general investigation of crime, theft and/or corruption within the private sector;
A minimum of 5 years’ investigative experience;

Competencies:

Analysing and fact-finding skills;
Good interviewing skills;
Ability to take statements during investigations;
Communication (written and verbal) skills in at least two of the three official languages;
Factual and legal analysis skills/abilities.
