Sasol chief executives Bongani Nqwababa and Stephen Cornell quit

Sasol chief executives, Bongani Nqwababa and Stephen Cornell, have agreed to resign following an independent review. The review found them of inappropriate conduct and incompetence.

This occurred after R200 billion, almost double the intended budget, was spent on the Lake Charles chemical project.

The project has been plagued with numerous delays and technical issues. A total of 40% of the companies value has been shaved to address the issues in the project.
