The case against three former executives linked to the so-called SARS rogue unit has been postponed yet again.
Ivan Pillay, Johann van Loggerenberg and Andries Janse van Rensburg are accused of bugging the offices of the National Prosecuting Authority in 2007.
The case was postponed earlier this year to give the National Director of Public Prosecutions, Advocate Shamila Batohi, time to re-evaluate the matter.
“The reason for this postponement is to enable them to have sufficient time to properly consider the very detailed representations that have been delivered to them to reconsider instituting the prosecution ion the first place,” said the trio’s lawyer Bernard Hotz.
The case will be back in court on 17 February 2020.
