Ubuntu Traditional Balms is looking for a vibrant, out-going sales assistant with a big personality for an upmarket store.

The successful candidate must understand what the term ‘ubuntu’ encompasses and understand the true community spirit. They must be able to read and understand Afrikaans, English, and Xhosa and understand South African culture and slang.

They must exceed customer expectations by practicing customer selling techniques and adhere to stock controls in-store.

Duties:
Will work on basic and commission-based salary to ensure individual targets are met consistently.
Must have the ability to maximize and drive sales by identifying opportunities to increase turnover.
Must maintain housekeeping, uphold our visual merchandising standards in order to optimize sales.
Create an inspiring environment. Have fun.
Must be able to engage with customers and have a basic understanding of cosmetics and beauty products.
Must be well-groomed and presentable.
Must have honesty in dealing with cash and finances

A foreign language will be a plus to communicate with tourists. Minimum requirements:

Six months of retail experience
Matric or equivalent
Clear criminal record
Microsoft – computer proficiency
Ability to communicate effectively.
Knowledge of current clothing trends/outdoor lifestyle
Must be able to travel to the Waterfront
Must understand Afrikaans, English, and Xhosa.
