An established company is looking for an experienced Safety Officer to join their dynamic team.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Report to the Safety Manager on all issues relating to Safety, Health & Environment daily.
Implement, maintain and administrate the Safety, Health & Environmental System.
Ensure all employees receive Safety, Health & Environmental Induction training.
Conduct daily inspections to ensure compliance to Safety, Health & Environmental standards.
Investigate all Incidents & Accidents.
Assist in daily meetings an topics for discussion.
Distribute the minutes of the Health and Safety Committee meetings.
Conduct daily and weekly reports.
Conduct Risk Assessments and make recommendations and to train and provide developmental coaching.
To take reasonable steps to ensure that each SHE Plan is implemented & maintained.
Follow the company HSE System as reasonably practicable and to comply towards the legal system.
Day to day monitoring of site activities and develop weekly safety reports.
Assist all Burma Plant Hire (Pty) Ltd employees in Safety-Related matters.
Travel to sites and liaise with client Safety Officers.
Guide and assist operators and mechanical personal in site HSE Compliance.
Assist and be part of all Legal appointments

Candidate Requirements
The successful incumbent should have the following requirements:
Diploma in Safety Management or equivalent will be an advantage
SAMTRAC certificate
Sound knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation, Standards and Regulations is a pre-requisite
Minimum 3-5 years working experience as a SHE Officer
Valid Drivers licence
Good communication skills. Ability to communicate in English and Afrikaans
Computer literate
SACPCMP Registered Professional
Must be a Team Player
This position reports to the Safety Manager
