To assist with conducting issue, baseline, and continuous risk assessment, hazard identification, and monitoring risk assessments in the workplace.

To ensure that safety audits/critical area inspections are conducted and remedial actions are implemented. To ensure proper reporting and investigations on workplace incidents and implementation of remedial actions. To analyse and report on safety statistics and propose and implement initiatives to reach safety targets.

To monitor and make recommendations on the application of health and safety principles regarding all equipment/machinery, hazardous substances in the working place. To advise on the safety principles pertaining to sources of mechanical/electrical energy and to non-mechanical/non-electrical sources of energy, and on the application of safety and health principles regarding electricity in the workplace.

To advise using given methodology, perform on the job coaching to enhance individual performances in the work environment. To communicate safety milestones, best practices and monitor compliance to platinum rules. To conduct legal compliance meetings with the Safety Reps and employees.

Grade 12/NQF level 4/STD 10 essential.

Grade 12 with Maths and Science would be an advantage.

SAMTRAC and SOC1 and 2 (Surface) is essential.

First Aid certificate is essential.
