State Capture caused valuable skills in SA to be lost, says Ramaphosa

President Cyril Ramaphosa says state capture caused valuable skills in South Africa to be lost.

Ramaphosa was delivering the January 8 statement in Polokwane on Saturday.

He says talented people were targeted by state capture.

“Not only was state capture a systematic attempt at siphoning of public resources and funds, but it also destroyed the capability of the state and lead to the departure of capable people from public institutions as they resisted state capture,” he said.

Earlier this week, part one of the state capture report was handed to Ramaphosa.

The report revealed some damning information.
