Retail Security Manager Wanted:

Security Manager Position available

Security Company is looking for a Site Security Manager for a large Shopping Centre in the Northern Suburbs.

Job Introduction:

This key management role has responsibility for managing the entire security team on site. The individual will report to the Regional Manager and Site Operations Manager, will lead and support the team to ensure compliance with business processes and contribute to performance improvements within the Security division.

Compulsory Requirements:

The ideal candidate must have the following requirements:

· PSIRA registered Grade A (Compulsory)

· Minimum of 5 years Retail experience (Compulsory)

· Managerial experience, at least 8 years’ experience as a Site Security Manager (Compulsory)

· Matric (Compulsory)

· Proficient levels of MS office suite

· Fluent in English and Afrikaans

· Own reliable transport

· Experience in investigations and Report writing

· No Criminal Record

· Reside in Cape Town – Northern Suburbs

· Tertiary qualifications in Security Management or equivalent will be an advantage.

Essential Experience Requirements:

The successful individual will be able to demonstrate:

  • Professional report writing skills
  • CCTV monitoring experience (Milestone), managing a large security compliment ( 50+ officer) and managing Control Rooms
  • IT knowledge (Advantageous)
  • Experience in SALTO/ EOB/ CHASE
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Ability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks
  • Experience of successfully leading teams to constantly achieve company objectives
  • The ability to communicate with all levels, from senior management to operational staff
  • Target and KPI focused yet able to deliver whilst maintaining employee engagement
  • Excellent people and performance management skills: motivate, coach, develop, inspire
  • Analytical and quality focused – able to produce accurate management information
  • Excellent presentation and MS Office skills are required
  • Evidence of problem solving skills and improving the day to day running of a department
  • A keen and motivated people manager
  • Knowledge of OHS&E
  • Criminal Procedure Act
  • Training and Development background

Nature of Position:

  • Permanent, Full-time
