The ICRC Regional Delegation in Pretoria is looking for a suitable candidate
to fill the following vacancy:

Driver (Daily Worker)

Minimum required qualification & experience:

 Minimum Grade 10 school level
 Valid driver’s license
 Minimum 5 years’ experience as a driver
 Experience in driving a 4×4 vehicle
 Knowledge of Diplomatic protocol an advantage
 Fluent in written and spoken English. Local languages will be an asset
 Flexible to work over weekends and after hours

Function description:

 Transport people and/or goods as instructed
 Fills in logbook after each trip
 Ensures that all vehicles are refuelled in time
 Fills in refuelling data in a logbook
 Ensures that all vehicles are kept clean
 Responsible for the maintenance/service of vehicles and vehicle inspections each morning
 Changes flat tires and replace light bulbs when needed
 Responsible for all equipment that is on board the vehicle and must report any changes to supervisor
 Upon request acts as a translator on field missions
