The National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD) has reported 801 new COVID-19 cases.
A further 6 people have died of COVID-19 related deaths.
Gauteng leads with 255 new cases. It is followed by the Western Cape with 157 cases.
KwaZulu-Natal recorded 124 new infections while the rest of the provinces recorded less than 100 new cases.
