Salga KZN chairperson Thami Ntuli says relief aid is not reaching flood victims on time.
Over 430 people died in the province’s worst floods in decades.
“The said interventions seem to be not reaching people at the time when they need them….it only reaches them at the appearance of the heavyweights politicians but the people on the ground are not receiving exactly what they expected as local government,” Ntuli said.
“It makes the local government be worse being underfunded at the same time, facing this predicament, not be able to provide the solutions.”
