SA Covid-19: Vaccination rate slows

It’s not good news when it comes to the vaccination rate, which seems to have dropped off.

Just under 30,000 Covid-19 vaccines have been administered across the country in the past 24 hours.

This brings the total number of doses gives to 16.8 million.

Gauteng is by far the province with the highest vaccination rate.

It’s administered 10,000 in the past day and has jabbed just under 4.5 million people.

KwaZulu-Natal is second, with just under 6,000 vaccinations in the past 24 hours.

The Northern Cape is the slowest. Only 226 people received vaccines in that province in the past day.

The government is aiming to vaccinate 67 percent of the population by the end of the year.
