International Thermoplastic Extrusions and Mouldings company seeks a
Quality Supervisor to continually improve operating systems, performance and constantly meet and exceed the expectations of the organisations customers’ requirements.
Applied, technical and industrial quality orientated processing concerns the application of research, problem-solving and improvement to manufacturing and other processes.
An advanced product quality planning (APQP) and plan, do, check, act methodologies are necessary to ensure confidence in the manufacturing process and its outputs.
You will need to be competent and skilled to use all and any type of problem-solving tools and methods throughout the organisation. Cascade, train and develop others in problem solving tools and techniques.
Implementation of verified permanent corrective actions and improvements.
Research, Recommend and Develop Processing Improvements.
Research, Recommend and Develop Materials and Recycling.
Define and communicate national and international related metrology requirements to cross functional teams clearly both verbally and written.
Implement and Maintain Processes.
Inspection and Measurement Reports.
Continued day to day support of the Quality Team.
Have a working knowledge and be able to implement Kaizen, 5 ‘S’, Lean practices.
Understand and be able to work towards reducing the 7 wastes of Lean manufacturing.
Effective in improving the organisations quality business systems i.e. IATF 16949 keeping up-to-date with current standards and/or improving our systems.
Conformance with the Company Quality Policy & ISO 9001 / IATF 16949.
Analysis (PFMEA) and other known problem-solving tools to best practice levels.
Utilise and develop tools such as design of experiments (DOE), Process Failure Modes Effects organisation in order to identify root causes when solving process problems.
Ideally you will hold a relevant ND or higher-level qualification equivalent.
Previous industry experience is a pre-requisite. Full training will be provided and a background in Manufacturing or Engineering would be highly advantageous.
A full working knowledge and experience of quality tools such as FMEA, APQP, and SPC is required.
You will be self-motivated with the drive to achieve results, able to work to demanding timescales and able to work on your own initiative and unsupervised.
You will also be consistent, persistent, accurate and articulate with attention to detail whilst maintaining quality and standards, enjoy problem-solving and challenges and remain professional at all times.
You will need to possess good communication skills being able to communicate at all levels and be computer literate in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
