South Africa stands to benefit from French cyber-crime intelligence.
It comes as French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna visits South Africa.
International Relations Minister Naledi Pandor hosted her in Pretoria.
The countries have now signed a Protocol on Cooperation on Cyber Forensic investigations.
They have also agreed to work together to fight against corruption.
This will include setting up an anti-corruption academy.
Justice Minister Ronald Lamola is welcoming the move.
