SUMMARY

A corporate executive requires the employment of a long-term Private Chef to ensure the catering requirements and kitchen organization of his principal home in De Waterkant Cape Town, his secondary residences in Simon’s Town and Sandton, and his safari lodge in Beestekraal.

The successful candidate will have experience working in a luxury private residence and will have professional culinary arts qualifications. Qualified and energetic candidates can expect a competitive package.

Required Candidate Qualifications

Fluent command of English in verbal and written communication
Dynamic, friendly yet professional person with kind attributes
Values and uses complete discretion at all times
Honest and Trustworthy individual
Service orientated with a pro-active mind set
Detail oriented with the ability to manage
Certified Qualification as a Professional Chef
Flexible and able to accommodate principle and guests schedule
Ability to travel to Simon’s Town, Sandton, and Beestekraal for up to a week at a time
Driver’s License with a clean record (preferred but not required)

Duties & Responsibilities:

Planning cleaning schedule and tasks at the various residences
Managing the purchase of fresh produce and other food stuffs and cooking supplier
Creating and cooking of weekly menu’s
Cleaning and upkeep of hygiene standards within the kitchens
Breakfast, lunch and dinner preparation with short notice
Potential dinner service duties during receptions and special occasions
Managing of service providers and deliveries
Overall prioritizing and scheduling of the completion of all duties and responsibilities
Daily reporting directly to the employer or his designee
Other household management or cooking related tasks as required
