Provide technical leadership and direction to customers and internal staff in the development of fully integrated technology solutions in support of pre-sales activities in the assigned market.
Duties and Responsibilities
As a Pre-Sales Engineer, this person will act as the Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting the primary Sales Rep/Territory Account Manager when interfacing with prospective clients
Attend Customer/Partner meetings, perform demonstrations & Proof of Concepts
Design and/or recommend technical solutions based on top tier virtualization, storage and backup technologies (e.g. VMware, HPE, Cisco, AWS)
Help maintain HPE’s credibility & customer/sales satisfaction by developing trusted relationships with customer stakeholders
Participate in deep-dive discussions & evaluate customer’s current business needs & desired end-state infrastructure solution to translate the technical view into the implementation view & determine implementation steps necessary to meet complex technical requirements
Actively support & collaborate with the account sales teams for solution advice, proposal responses, presentations & other customer communications
Work effectively with Channel Partners to identify gaps & address needs to accelerate channel business
Understand & maintain knowledge of the competitive environment & competitor’s strategies
Familiarity with storage-related solutions e.g. HPE, Dell, EMC, NetApp, Compel lent, EqualLogic etc.
Understanding of hyper converged, compute & connectivity technologies & wider integration in the Data Centre
Ability to talk about technical subjects & deliver technical presentations or training to audiences with both technical & non-technical backgrounds
Create detailed Statements of Work for proposed solutions
Experience:
3 – 6 years’ experience as a Post implementation Engineer and Client Management.
Highly experienced in the following technologies HPE products, Symantec Products, and Infrastructure knowledge on ICT Products and Solutions.
Qualification
BTech Degree and / or National Diploma (Information Technology or similar)
Product Specific Certification (HP, HPE, Cisco, Aruba, IBM)
