Petrol price set to increase on Wednesday

The fuel price is expected to rise sharply on Wednesday. Petrol is up by 40 and 43 cents per litre.

Diesel will cost at least 54 cents a litre more and illuminating paraffin goes up by 50 cents a litre.

The increases are due to Rand’s appreciation against the Dollar which led to lower contributions to the basic fuel price.

Higher international prices of petroleum products and Brent Crude Oil also contributed to the increases.
