Media personality Penny Lebyane is celebrating a powerful return to public broadcasting as she takes her place back on SABC2, marking a new and meaningful chapter in her celebrated media career. The veteran broadcaster has officially been announced as the host of the brand-new live television show, Eintlek Let’s Connect, set to premiere on 9 February.
The weekday live show will air from Monday to Friday and will be co-hosted by Penny Lebyane alongside Fran-Rico Lucas. Designed as a platform for authentic conversations, shared experiences and everyday South African stories, Eintlek Let’s Connect aims to reconnect audiences with television that feels real, warm and community-driven.
For Penny Lebyane, returning to SABC2 is more than just another presenting role — it is deeply personal. Having previously hosted the popular show Motswako, she describes the opportunity as a full-circle moment after 25 years in the media industry.
“To be back on SABC2 with a daily platform like Eintlek Let’s Connect is everything I’ve worked toward in the last 25 years in the media industry. It’s more than a show; it is a space for real talk, real people and real connection,” Penny said.
Reflecting on her personal and professional journey, Penny Lebyane added that the show represents renewal and purpose. “After the last few years I’ve had, this isn’t just a job. It’s a fresh start and a chance to build something meaningful with South Africa every single day. It’s a homecoming.”
Co-host Fran-Rico Lucas echoed similar sentiments, describing the show as a powerful milestone in his own career. He shared that returning to television feels like a dream realised, having previously worked on 50/50 before joining Eintlek Let’s Connect.
