Employer: Supertech
Main Purpose: To ensure all repair and / or replacement of parts for damaged vehicles are done.
Responsible for anchoring damaged vehicles on bench and inserting clamps:
Receive disassembled vehicle
Ensure vehicle is loaded onto workshop bench
Ensure accurate vehicle measurements are taken as per model specifications
Ensure correct working tools are available
Use ISTA repair instructions to accurately identify vehicle damage
Ensure correct bench clamps and brackets are inserted
Responsible for pulling vehicle:
Ensure all vehicle components are detached (if necessary)
Ensure correct bench body structure is used (where applicable)
Pull vehicle according to quality standards
Responsible for placing/welding/bonding of parts:
Receive new ordered parts from Parts department
Prepare vehicle for fitment
Ensure new part is correctly fitted as per ISTA repair instructions
Ensure all necessary parts are welded / bonded accurately according to ISTA repair instructions
Responsible for filing/filling of all joints:
Prepare vehicle for filing process
File vehicle body structure in accordance to vehicle body specifications
Ensure vehicle is cleaned
Fill all vehicle body cavities with sealer
Apply vehicle body filler (where necessary)
Ensure vehicle is cleaned
Responsible for audit repair process:
Ensure all post body vehicle repair measurements are done using workshop bench and measuring system
Ensure repair work is within specified parameters
(If post body vehicle repair variance is found)-Re-do necessary repair procedure
(If no post body vehicle repair variance is found) Attach printout to job card and send vehicle to flatter
Candidate Requirements
Motor Dealership experience / Approved Repair Centre experience (2 years)
Qualified panel beater (i.e. MERSETA accredited)
Computer literate
Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
Drivers License
This position reports to: Workshop Foreman
