Over 40 people have been arrested during Operation Okae Molao in Kagiso, west of Johannesburg.
At least 23 were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol while 22 didn’t the required documentation to be in the country.
The joint operation includes the SAPS, JMPD, and Home Affairs.
Gauteng police commissioner, Elias Mawela says he’s happy with how things went.
“Definitely it is a successful night because you can see that our operation is also supported by information and technology system.”
Operation Okae Molao will continue in other parts of Gauteng.
