Police appeal to Nyanga community for assistance after 4 shot dead

Western Cape police have launched a manhunt after four people were killed in a shooting incident in Nyanga.

According to police reports, four other victims sustained gunshot wounds and were rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

Police spokesperson Andre Traut said the incident took place in Mazizini in Brown’s Farm on Sunday night.

“Detectives attached to the Provincial Serious and Violent Crimes Unit are pursuing a number of leads in a bid to apprehend those responsible for the murders and attempted murders, and will appreciate community assistance to expedite the investigation. The motive for the incident is yet to be determined.”
