NSFAS has extended the deadline for student applications to 21 January. Initially, submissions had to be made by 7 January.
The student financial aid scheme is warning that this will be the last extension. Over 600,000 applications have already been received, and over 80 percent are first-time applicants.
“We have approved over 186,000 applicants, have received messages,” said the scheme’s Kagisho Mamabolo.
Those who have not received a response, we are still in the processes of verifying their income.
