Despite being linked with a move back to FC Barcelona, Neymar is now said to be in line for a shock move to another top European club, one that one Lionel Messi’s greatest rivals plays for. The 27-year-old reportedly told Paris Saint-Germain he wants to leave the club in this transfer window, with the forward said to be desperate for a move back to Barca.
The Catalans have recognised the star wants to return, and PSG have also acknowledged he wants to leave, but his next destination is not yet set in stone.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Neymar’s representatives are now set to meet with Italian giants Juventus in the coming weeks.
It has been claimed that the ex-Blaugrana forward will meet with Juve sporting director Fabio Paratici, and that the Serie A champions are confident they can lure the Brazil man to Italy.
PSG manager Thomas Tuchel recently admitted he is fully aware of Neymar’s intention to leave, saying he knew about it before the player met up with the Selecao in the build-up to the 2019 Copa America.
If Neymar were to join the Bianconeri, he would link up with Cristiano Ronaldo and potentially form one of the deadliest attacking forces in football.
