Newly elected mayor of Mangaung, Mxolisi Siyonzana, says he will do his best to ensure vacant positions in the municipality are filled. Siyonzana was elected on Monday as the new mayor for the metro. “So you will need people with capacity and we are going to struggle because its a risk to work only for one year. Obviously, we are going to do everything in our power to make sure that we have filled these positions.”
Siyonzana has also declared a time for unity and restoration as he takes over the troubled municipality.nThe metro was the only municipality in the province without a mayor for a year since the ousting of Olly Mlamleli.
