Chomee recently spoke of a show she did in China eight years ago she hadn’t been paid for, but that’s not the only gig she hasn’t received payment for. She’s owed at least R500 000 for several performances – and now she’s enlisted the help of a legal team. “I’m engaging with lawyers who’ve volunteered to help me with my case then I’ll pay them afterwards,” she tells DRUM.

Musician and dancer, Chomee has seemingly crawled back to the former boss, Arthur Mafokate. According to Move Magazine, the star was quoted as saying: “Business requires a lot of time; it is not for the faint-hearted.”
The star has already started recordings of her new music after her attempt to revive her career with “her single, Zozela Zalala”, which failed to garner positive reviews for her. According to Sunday Sun, she explained her decision of working with her former record stable: “I am the Chomee today because of 999 Music. I feel there is still much we can accomplish with my new image and music”.
