Moments from Pearl Thusi’s birthday party we never expected. Pearl celebrated her big 30 with a prestigious party in Johannesburg this past weekend and was dripping #PartyGoals over the walls and floor.
You only turn 30 once and Pearl Thusi made sure she would remember it for the rest of her life with a party so lit, the fire station was nearly called to come deal with the mess.
Some pics and videos from the night made its way onto social media and had us digging through the post to see where our invite disappeared to.
Here are just some of the big moments that had us gasping for breath as we watched Pearl’s bash unfold.
1. All your favourites were there
Bar Zodwa, Skolopad, and a few others, most of the big names in Mzansi were at the party. Just scanning the room was like watching a red carpet.
In a few square meters were Somizi and his bae, Lerato Kganyago, Basetsana Kumalo, DJ Zinhle, Da L.E.S, Cassper Nyovest and Kelly Khumalo.
2. Cassper danced to AKA’s track
Yes, you read it right. Just days after fans speculated that the pair had pulled their beef out the fridge to sub each other,
Cassper was caught jamming to an AKA song played by the Supa Mega’s bestie Da L.E.S. All that was missing from the scene was pigs flying.
The Mega wasn’t there to see it himself but we’re sure the news reached him.
3. The ultimate celeb dance off
Talking about dancing, all your favs were there busting a move.
There was twerking, grinding and even the odd half-hearted attempt at a vosho.
BTW, Lerato won it!
4. Pearl’s grinding, YOH!
That grind we told you about? It was hectic.
Pearl gave a young grind for the culture and the party nearly stopped.
The birthday girl then transitioned into other moves but by then we were sufficiently shaken.
5. The cake was on fire!
Okay, science says candles are the fire on the cake but Pearl’s cake person must have used paraffin candles because those things were shining bright like our future and longer than the wait till payday.
