The appointee should:

Be in possession of Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.
Hold a valid Blasting Certificate.
Must have at least 5 years Mining production experience.
Be in possession of a valid First Aid Certificate.
Be able to pass the practical test when short-listed.
Demonstrate excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye Stillwater Occupational Health Centre.

Advantageous requirements:

Must have experience in mining operations with Drill Rigs and Bolters.
Compliance with COP`s and legal requirements.
Team leader experience will be advantageous.

Key responsibilities include:

Ensuring the safety of employees under his/her control
Blasting support and cleaning operations
Ensure compliance with safety standards guidelines, policies and procedures
Assist with ad hoc business improvement projects and relieving duties
