Police have arrested 5 people, including a Zimbabwean man, his wife, and his girlfriend, for their alleged involvement in the kidnapping of a Midrand businessman in early January.
The suspects were arrested during a multi-disciplinary operation in houses located between Pretoria and Johannesburg.
Two cars, used during the kidnapping, and several phones and sim cards were seized.
To date, more than 124 kidnapping suspects have been arrested.
