The government says it has already started paying compensation for the Marikana massacre and it wants to wrap up the outstanding claims urgently.
This was after legal representatives for some of the affected miners and families claimed that the government had left them without any support.
Monday marked nine years since 34 mineworkers were shot dead by police.
