Maps Maponyane forks out R75K for a good cause

The 28-year-old hunk recently awarded a young student a R75 000 bursary to complete her studies. Top Billing presenter, Masego ‘Maps’ Maponyane is doing his bit to give back and make somebody else’s dreams come true.

Maps has been in close partnership with the Pearson Institute of Higher Education for some time now and now we finally know why. The two brands have created the Maps Maponyane Pearson Bursary fund which aims to offer financial assistance to students at Pearson.

Maps MaponyaneThis year’s recipient is Molinah Makasana Nkomo who beat out 164 other applicants for the bursary. Molinah is studying towards a BSC in Biomedicine at Pearson.

“What a highlight it has been for us to change the life of an individual – who will go on to change the lives of so many others in her future. Congratulations Molinah and we anticipate great things from you,” Maps said in a statement.

Maps Maponyane has a good heart he also spent a day at Kama Primary School sometime in April on #WorldBookDay. The Mzansi Celeb shared a series of pictures having a blast with students and had this to say… “It’s officially #WorldBookDay today.📚📚📚 I hope that today acts as a catalyst for many to highlight the serious reading and literacy issue across our schools and communities, not only South Africa but throughout Africa.

There’s something each an every one of us can do, from donating books to schools, taking the time out to read to young pupils or just committing to reading to your own children more often.👬🏽👭🏽 Let’s not only make it enjoyable but let’s give as many children as possible a fair fighting chance at their dreams by giving them the access they need to unlock their potential.🔐🔓 Sometimes you also need to step out of your comfort zone to have their attention, so Swipe Left to see how I dressed up as Dr. Seuss’s Cat In The Hat😂😂😂🤣 as I read ‘Oh The Places You’ll Go’ 🌍🌎🌏#WorldBookDay #Education #Books #KamaPrimary #ReadingWithNovus”
