Mzansi celebrity besties, Somizi Mhlongo and MaMkhize often trend whenever they post some of their flashiest designer brands, best known for their soft spot for luxury brands. The two trended after showing off some Louis Vuitton bags that cost a fortune.
The two have quickly become some of the most followed stars, with illustrious careers spanning years. However, the two have splurged millions on designer clothes and bags to cap their glitzy lives.
After MDN News shared a video of some of their flashiest designer bags, the two left social media abuzz, the post has gained thousands of comments and reactions since it was posted on the internet.

The two were standing in front of millions-worth Louis Vuitton bags. This is not the first time the two have wowed many with their sense of fashion. Surprisingly, they were also wearing Louis Vuitton, leaving Mzansi impressed. They were wearing Flocked LV T-shirts and Laureate Desert Boots.
Against the post, Mzansi quickly flooded social media with their two cents. Some fans jokingly likened their designer bags to those from the famous fashion street Small Street.
Against the post, The South African has connected the dots about some of the bag’s price tags. Some of the bags spotted in the mix include Horizon 55s and 70s. Somizi and Makhize also showed off some of LV’s coveted travelling bags, including a Bondouliere 45, Rolling Truck, and Pegase.
A Horizon 55 travelling bag costs $3 500, a whopping R63 357. On the other hand, the Horizon 70 has a base price of R60 000. However, according to Louis Vuitton, Somizi and MaMkhize’s Designer Checkered Horizon 70 has a base price tag of R70 000.
Just like the Horizon line, Bondouliere 45, Rolling Truck, and Pegase bags don’t come cheap.
However, Somizi and MaMkhize join a host of celebrities who have splurged millions on designer handbags, including Bonang Matheba and DJ Maphorisa. Earlier this year, the DJ Maphorisa made headlines with some of his flashiest handbags.
DJ Maphorisa has one of the most coveted designer bags in the world, a Hermès Birkin Bag. The bag’s base price tag is R480 000. DJ Maphorisa joins celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Cardi B, who own the coveted designer bag.
The muso also has a Petite Boite Chapeau (Round LV Sling bag) with a base price tag of R85 000.
