TWK Agri has the following vacancy available: Logistics Planner within the Timber Division at Piet Retief, Mpumalanga.
Responsibilities and Duties
Responsible for co-ordinating and planning of transport/logistics services
Ensuring that all deliveries are done in the most cost-effective way and achieving the highest possible level of customer service
Ensure vehicle utilisation based on savings
Ensure vehicle payload maximisation
Communicate estimated and/or late deliveries timeously to customers
Compile daily report on orders processed
Check orders delivered with no feedback and follow up with transporters
Complete and maintain diversions
Ensure outstanding feedback on loads completed
Resolve customer queries regarding in-transit damaged goods
Report missing rates and complete rate request forms accurately
Check and filter on unplannable orders, determine cause of problem
Schedule and review orders in TMS and finalise orphan orders and exceptions
Checking of orders on TMS webpage for acceptance and follow up
Manage escalated issues
Accountable for validating freight orders through TMS
Accountable to ensure returns are scheduled and processed correctly
Responsible for follow up and resolution of incorrect dates on sales orders
Responsible for planning and scheduling of manual orders, and maintains on system clean up
Manage the planning, flexibility to do cross-pollination planning
Work effectively in a team to enhance team performance
Provide and receive constructive feedback to and from transporters and customers, reporting to OPS lead
Participate in planning sessions
Build strong relationships within TWK marketing and transporters
Communicate positively in OPS centre to align vehicles
Willing to work overtime when required
Qualifications and Skills
Matric / Grade 12
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in transport/logistics
Experience and qualifications in logistics or related industry
Computer literate
Driver’s licence
Ability to work under pressure
Strong communication skills
Problem-solving skills
Team player
